Women Entrepreneurs Day 2025 Celebrated at MTI-HUB with Inspiring Sessions and Panel Discussions

MTI-HUB marked a significant milestone today with the successful celebration of Women Startup Summit 1.0 in honour of Women Entrepreneurs Day 2025, held at the IT Park, Mantripukhri. The event centred around the theme “Building Women-led Enterprises for a Stronger Startup Ecosystem in Manipur,” bringing together founders, academicians, business leaders, and aspiring entrepreneurs from across the state.


The programme began with the arrival of dignitaries, registration, and felicitation. Ms. Velloree Khuraijam, Technical Associate at MTI-HUB, welcomed participants and highlighted the importance of women-driven innovations.

Guests of Honour Dr. Sinam Yoirentomba, Deputy Director of MSME Technology Centre Imphal, and Dr. Memcha Loitongbam, Professor at MIMS and Dean of Social Sciences, Manipur University, delivered encouraging remarks emphasizing capacity development and entrepreneurial resilience.

The Chief Guest, Dr. R.K. Radhesana Devi, Director of the Planning Department, Government of Manipur, delivered an inspiring inaugural address, underscoring the importance of innovation, policy support, and the economic contributions of women. This was followed by the Presidential Address from Dr. R.K. Tombisana Singh, Joint Director, Planning Department, highlighting institutional commitment toward entrepreneurship development.

Mr. Robinson Longjam, Business Development Manager at MTI-HUB, concluded the session with a formal vote of thanks, after which attendees enjoyed a brief tea break.


The technical segment opened with a powerful presentation by Smt. Hanjabam Shubhra Devi, Founder of Meira Foods. Her talk—“Opportunities and Challenges for Women Entrepreneurs in Manipur” explored local market potential, and the growing shift toward innovative, socially driven business models.


The post-lunch programme featured a vibrant panel discussion moderated by Ms. Konjengbam Nirmala Chanu, General Announcer at AIR Imphal.

The panel comprised influential women entrepreneurs, including:

  • Ms. Michelle Salam, Founder, Michelle’s Sweet Temptation

  • Ms. Preety Thokchom, Founder, Primal Care Health Services

  • Ms. Laimayum Gautami, Co-Founder, Addble Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

  • Ms. Luxmibai Soubam, Founder, Teakore Products Pvt. Ltd.

  • Dr. Binota Thokchom, Founder, Korou’s Water

The panelists discussed the theme “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: From Local to Global,” sharing insights on scaling enterprises, embracing digital strategies, product innovation, brand building, and global outreach. Their experiences provided practical perspectives for emerging entrepreneurs.
